The Organisers accept no responsibility for any loss, theft or accident during the event. Parents or carers are responsible for their own children during the event and space is available for parents who wish to stay for the day. Children can be left for the day if you inform us in writing on the day and leave an emergency contact number but ultimately organisers will not take responsibility for those children as we will be busy running the event and won’t be able to watch the children all the time. Parents must make their own decision as to whether their child is mature enough to be left for the day to behave responsibly and stay within the designated areas. Photos of the children may be taken by the organisers in the playing hall. These may be published on chess websites or in chess related articles. If you’re not happy for photos of your child to be used then please email us before the start of the event. Your email address may be used to send chess related information.
